Payroll overview
How Heimdallone payroll works — country-rule-driven, effective-dated, multi-frequency.
Heimdallone payroll is a country-rule-driven, effective-dated, multi-frequency engine. It supports weekly, fortnightly, semi-monthly, monthly, and annual cycles, and statutory rules are resolved by the pay date of each run -- so historical runs always compute on the rules that were in force at the time.
Guyana / GRA
For Guyana, the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) is the source of truth for PAYE, NIS, and allowances. Statutory amounts are stored as effective-dated data and prorated per pay frequency.
Key concepts
- Country profile -- the statutory rule set (tax bands, NIS, allowances) for a country, valid over a date window.
- Pay frequency -- weekly / fortnightly / semi-monthly / monthly / annual; period statutory amounts are derived from annual figures.
- Payslip -- the issued record for an employee in a period; preserved immutably.

Pay periods
Create the pay period a run is built against — frequency, start and end dates, and expected hours. Do this before running payroll.

Payslips
Find payslips, understand what each field means, and work with historical and migrated records.
Corrections
Correct a confirmed payslip without losing the original. Preview deltas, apply, and track the GL obligation.
